Counselors/Psychologists

The counselors at Pioneer High School work with a variety of academic, personal, and developmental issues. Their goal is to prepare your child for academic success after high school and to create a caring, challenging, and safe environment so students can develop to their fullest potential.

Students may make an appointment with their counselor by seeing the secretaries in the Guidance Office before or after school, at nutrition or during lunch.

If you have concerns about your student's class work, grades or behavior, teachers may be reached on their phone or voicemail. Teacher's extensions are listed on their progress report next to their name. Parent conferences are encouraged. Please call the Guidance Office at (562) 698-8121, ext. 5030 to schedule appointments with teachers and counselors. Most conferences are held either at 7:30 a.m. or 3:00 p.m. Conferences may also be scheduled during the teacher's conference period.
