CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY (CSU)

The CSU is a leader in high-quality, accessible, student-focused higher education. With 23 campuses, almost 447,000 students, and 45,000 faculty and staff, it is the largest, the most diverse, and one of the most affordable university systems in the country. They offer unlimited opportunities to help students achieve their goals. They prepare graduates who go on to make a difference in the workforce. And they play a vital role in the growth and development of California's economy.

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA (UC)

The University of California is home to more than 233,000 students and more than 190,000 faculty and staff, with more than 1.7 million alumni living and working around the world. Each year, UC campuses welcome thousands of new students with another 60,000 more on their way over the next decade. The UC system is composed of 10 campuses: nine campuses offer undergraduate and graduate degrees and one campus (UCSF) offers graduate/professional degrees only.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The California Community Colleges is the largest system of higher education in the nation, with 2.1 million students attending 112 colleges. Community colleges provide students with the knowledge and background necessary to compete in today’s economy. With a wide range of educational offerings, the colleges provide workforce training, basic courses in English and Math, certificate and degree programs and preparation for transfer to four-year institutions.

CALIFORNIA PRIVATE/INDEPENDENT COLLEGES
California Private/Independent colleges and universities offer diverse and unique educational opportunities. There are over 75 private and independent colleges and universities in the state of California. Since each independent college and university is unique, admission requirements vary. Applicants for admission are evaluated for past achievement, future promise, and fit with the schools' missions and goals. California's independent colleges and universities are an excellent choice for many students.
