For each category, highlight what side you would choose. At the end, reflect on your own about where you sit on the political spectrum. Ultimately, we will discuss how you would respond as society progresses into the Conservative Tide of the 1980's.

Each group will be assigned a section of the reading and questions. After completion, students will go around to each group and gather information for the additional sections. One student expert will stay at their stations and provide the information to the other groups. 

Draw a picture representing the Containment Theory. ex: Jar example done in class. 

Include Truman Doctrine and Marshall Plan and include notes as to what was included in each approach to contain communism. 

We will play a game using Rock-Paper-Scissors & mints to simulate how a capitalist and communist economy operates. Before the game, students will create a T chart. After each round, they will record their observations. At the end they will write a reflection: which type of economy works best and why.

Group Poster- 25 

Graphic Organizer- 25 

Use the notes to create a Cause/Effect graphic organizer. Add 3 inquiry questions and summary. Take picture and upload to google classroom once complete.

Review timeline, answers the questions at the end.

Turn in hard copy of packet to Mrs. Miramontes. Upload essay to this assignment. 

Packet- 50pts. (35pts for graphic organizer/ 2 pts for each documents (3pts for document F) 
Essay - 100pts.
