Pioneer High School's college-bound seniors celebrated the end of their K-12 education journeys with a College Signing Day lunch-time ceremony that included walking a red carpet and lighting the Titan Torch.
College Signing Day is a national celebration of all high school seniors, especially those from low-income, underrepresented, and first-generation college-going backgrounds, who have committed to pursuing higher education — whether at a community college, a four-year university or a professional training program, or by joining the military.

Cheered on by classmates and teachers, Pioneer High Titans walked a red carpet carrying banners proclaiming their college choice, gathered for a ceremonial lighting of the Titan Torch, took a group picture and were treated to ice cream.
Pioneer is an AVID National Demonstration School, providing guided and structured support to all students to ensure they attend college.
